How to Inspire Yourself to Action

  I am the queen of laziness. I am excellent at procrastination and lack of motivation. My house is a disorganized mess. I have piles of things like dirty clothes and papers. I am also a perfectionist, which is why all this makes perfect sense. Perfectionists will not do anything they think they will fail at. If they do not do it perfectly or successfully, they will find a reason not to do it. So, when it comes to motivation and action, there are things we perfectionists can do to inspire ourselves to action. 1. Lose the perfectionist mindset This is the toughest thing to do, in my opinion. When you have lived your whole life under the umbrella of perfectionism, it is hard to learn to set the umbrella down and let the rain fall on your head once in awhile. We have to give ourselves some grace. We have to allow ourselves to make mistakes or do things imperfectly because truth be told, we will never achieve perfection. 40 years after, lost recordings of Bob Marley found in London

Lost recordings of Bob Marley have been restored after it was found in a damp hotel basement in London. The tapes are the original, high-quality live recordings of the reggae legend's concerts in London and Paris. Tracks include 'No Woman No Cry', 'Jamming' and 'Exodus.' The recordings are from concerts at the Lyceum in London (1975), the Hammersmith Odeon (1976), the Rainbow, also in London (1977), and the Pavilion de Paris (1978). According to a BBC report, they were found in a run-down hotel in Kensal Rise, northwest London, where Bob Marley and the Wailers stayed during their European tours in the mid-1970s. They were said to be discovered when Joe Gatt, a Marley fan and London businessman, took a phone call from a friend, who had found them while doing a building refuse clearance . Bob Marley, who died in 1981, would have been 72 yesterday, Febuary 6, 2017.

Over 500 people turned up for the 2hr 30minutes protest in Lagos

Today, February 6, 2017 the much anticipated pro-Nigerian protest held in Lagos and Abuja. In Lagos, the protest kicked off at about 10am from National Stadium and protesters marched to the National Theater. At about 12:30pm, the protest had wrapped up. A few Celebrities including Charly Boy, Seyi Law, Yomi Fabiyi Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore and others were all in attendance and few speeches were made. Police officers were also on ground to ensure it was a peaceful protest with the Lagos State Police commissioner and Police PRO in attendance.

While declaring open the Government—Private Sector Engagement Forum on the Nigeria Economic Recovery & Growth Plan 2017 — 2020 in Abuja earlier today, VP Yemi Osinbajo, acknowledged Nigerians who came out today to protest the current situation of the country.   According to his spokesperson, Laolu Akande, Osinbajo said he hears the protesters loud and clear. Canadian airlines say they are complying with U.S. judge's block on travel ban

WestJet, Air Canada and Porter Airlines say they are advising airport staff to process all U.S.-bound passengers with valid visas, regardless of nationality, after a federal judge south of the border put a temporary hold on President Donald Trump’s travel ban. On Saturday, WestJet announced that “due to a federal judge granting temporary restraining order on the nationwide immigration ban, guests travelling with a passport issued from Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Yemen or Libya are now able to enter or transit the United States if holding a valid passport and a valid Immigrant or non-immigration visa." That statement was echoed by Air Canada. “Air Canada was informed by U.S. Authorities Friday evening that the CBP was returning to its operating procedures as they were prior to the signing of the Executive Order, and we immediately revised ou‎r travel documentation checks to remain compliant.,” an airline spokesperson said in a written statement, referring to U.S. Cu
