Actress and Singer, Selena Gomez, just underwent a kidney transplant, and she just took to Instagram to tell us of the struggle behind her smile. She revealed that she had a kidney transplant this summer to help her battle Lupus. For this reason, she hasn’t been able to promote her new music. She went on to reveal that it was her friend who donated the kidney. I’m very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn’t promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health. Until then I want to publicly thank my family and the incredible team of doctors for everything they have done for me prior to and post-surgery. Kechi held an interactive session with her followers on Instagram on Tuesday. Asked how she would feel if wins the show, she said she feels it would be a little unfair, because she won’t want people to vote for her based on her story, and there are better singers on the show. She said: It would be amazing to make it to top 10 but honestly if I make it that far, I think that is probably where I might stop just because I feel there are some people there who are good. There are a lot of singers and a lot of us know how to sing. I am so grateful to get this far but I feel like if I win it might be a little unfair because I don’t want people to vote for me based on my story and how much they like me and feel they are inspired by me.                   President of Singapore Halimah Yacob Singaporeans are kicking back as their first female president is elected into office – without voting. The citizens of Singapore have criticized the means through which 63-year-old Halimah Yacob, a former speaker of the parliament from the Muslim Malay community, was elected into office. Accrording to Guardian, Yacob did not face an election for what is largely a ceremonial post, after authorities disqualified her opponents for not meeting the eligibility criteria. After being certified as the president, Yacob said the process by which she was elected did not matter, as she would serve the best way she can. She said: I can only say that I promise to do the best that I can to serve the people of Singapore, and that doesn’t change whether there is an election or no election.

A double rapist who was transferred to a women’s prison after he had a £10,000 sex change operation behind bars, has been put in n isolation cell for sexually harassing female inmates. Martin Ponting, 50, a father-of-three, became Jessica Winfield in jail after being sentenced to life imprisonment in 1995 for raping young girls. The double rapist who still has his penis was moved to a women’s prison in Surrey, England in March after he underwent breast implants surgery, courtesy of England’s National Health Service (NHS). According to reports, she was placed in an isolation cell last week after making inappropriate sexual advances towards her fellow female inmates. A source told The Sun newspaper: “It beggars belief why a convicted double rapist like Jessica is allowed to mix with females despite still having [his] penis intact.” The source added, “Whoever thought it was a good idea to put a double rapist in a women’s jail was bonkers. Lady Ann Nnaji,  wife of the senator representing Enugu East Senatorial District and the chairman, senate committee on communications,  Gilbert Nnaji,  has died in a foreign hospital after a long battle with an undisclosed ailment.   A statement by Nnaji’s media advisers,  Egbon Mon-Charles  reads  'It is with heavy heart that I announce the unfortunate passing away of Lady Ann Nnaji, wife of Senator Gilbert Nnaji, Chairman, Senate Committee on Communications'.   'According to her husband, she was a virtuous woman, praying wife, pillar of support, dedicated mother and a caring sister who will be missed as long as I live.‎ May her gentle soul rest in peace,”  the statement concluded
