News: UK Prime Minister, Theresa May issues a statement on the Manchester blast

At about  10:35pm  UK time on Monday, May 22, 2017, tragedy struck at the Manchester Arena where pop singer Ariana Grande was performing, leaving at least 19 people dead and about 50 injured in a possible terrorist incident. British Prime Minister Theresa May issued a statement, confirming that police are treating the incident as a terror attack, "we are working to establish the full details of what is being treated by the police as an appalling terrorist attack. All our thoughts are with the victims and the families of those who have been affected."  The leader of Britain's Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn also offered support on Twitter. He tweeted: "Terrible incident in Manchester. My thoughts are with all those affected and our brilliant emergency services."

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, was a guest on BBC's Hardtalks yesterday where he said that President Buhari is still working from the UK where he is currently receiving medical treatment for an undisclosed ailment. Speaking on the health condition of President Buhari, Kachikwu said "Yes, he is in London. He is undergoing hospital treatment. I don’t know the details of that and I obviously wouldn’t know. But let me say this, he returned from his first trip in London. He worked full stream. Even though the doctors advised him to have some rest. He’s back to London and he has continued some levels of meetings and has been able to play some roles. He has a very efficient Vice-President who is sitting in for him in his absence. News: Customs Service intercepts 584 cartons of smuggled poultry products

Nigeria Customs Service on Saturday intercepted a DAF Truck with 584 cartons of Smuggled Frozen Poultry Products neatly concealed with 569 rolls of water hose, along Lagos Ibadan Expressway. Releasing photos of the seized goods this week, the Customs service revealed that it has a duty Paid Value of Three Million, One Hundred and Fifty Three, Six Hundred Naira Only. News: ISIS supporters celebrate Manchester Arena bomb attack that killed 22

ISIS supporters have been celebrating the bomb attack that occurred in Manchester Arena during Ariana Grande's concert which killed 22 people and left several injured. They are yet to officially claim responsibility for the attack though. There were reportedly two blasts at the concert, killing and injuring concert goers who were leaving the venue.  Moments following the attack, while the UK and the rest of the world mourned the senseless deaths, Twitter accounts linked to Islamic State used hashtags referring to the blast to post celebratory messages, with some users encouraging similar attacks elsewhere. "It seems that bombs of the British airforce over children of Mosul and Raqqa has just came back to Manchester," one user named Abdul Haqq said on Twitter. Abdul's tweet about Mosul and Raqqa is a reference to the Iraqi and Syrian cities held by the militants where a American-led coalition is conducting air strikes.
