News: Acting president, Yemi Osinbajo signs three executive orders

Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, Thursday signed three executive orders that will henceforth change how government business and operations are conducted. According to a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, the three executive orders are: 1.Ease of Doing Business  2. Support for 'Made in Nigeria'  3. Timely submission of MDAs budgets  The order on Ease of doing business will hep in the promotion of transparency and efficiency in the business environment and also facilitate ease of doing business in Nigeria.  The order for support for Made in Nigeria will ensure the procurement of only made in Nigeria products by the government. The order on timely submission of MDAs budgets will ensure timely submission of annual budgetary estimates by all statutory and non-statutory agencies.

10 years after competing against each other at the debut edition of MTN project fame, ex-Big Brother Naija house mate, Bisola and singer, Iyanya are back on the same team. Bisola made her first big move after her success at the just concluded reality show by signing a deal with creative agency, Temple Management Company (TMC). Bisola signed the management agreement  with TMC on Thursday, May 18, 2017 in company of her representatives and senior TMC officials at the Victoria Island corporate office of the organization. The singer unveils the album art and tracklist to the album. The 19-track album features Burna Boy, Wande Coal, Timaya, Phyno, PJ Morton (Maroon 5), Rotimi, Lil Kesh, Fifi Cooper, Egar Boi and Davido. The LP comes with three bonus tracks made up of his previously released singles. Producers on the album include Echo, Egar Boi, KrisBeatz, Young Jonn, Jay Pizzle, Pimpz Beat, Killer Tunez, Mckeezy, Spellz and Young D.

News: LASPOTECH Student, Damilola Adegoke, commits suicide

Friends of a student of Business Administration/Management at the Lagos state Polytechnic LASPOTECH, Damilola Adegoke, have taken to social media to express their shock over the news of her death. Damilola reportedly drank an insecticide known as Sniper. It is not certain what led her to take her own life.  See the tributes that have poured in for her by her colleagues and friends. One of her friends wrote;  "No matter the circumstances, worries, troubles, disaster never look down on your self and always pray hard. It's a pity this tight friend of mine Damilola Adegoke took snipper yesterday and gave up the ghost after uploading her pics on fb. May her soul rest in peace". Another one, Damilola Ayanwanle, wrote: "No amount of problem worth taking your own life , she was hardworking and highly dedicated but only her knows her personal pains and challenges, maybe she shared and you and I couldnt help her out ........ in fact nothing justify eating a poison, well...

American singer, Madonna tops the list of America's richest female musicians in 2017 that's just been released by Forbes. Madonna reigns with a whooping $580 million. Forbes reports that her Rebel Heart tour, which ended in March 2016, grossed $170million. She's closely followed by Celine Dion who comes in second position with $400 million while Barbra Streisand clinches the third position with $390 million. Beyonce comes in 4th position with $350 million as her last year’s Lemonade album and the Formation World Tour reportedly grossed a quarter of a billion dollars.  Taylor Swift completes the list of the top 5 with $280 million largely due to the success of her 1989 tour, which smashed North American touring records.

News: Cross Rivers state governor, Ben Ayade, orders members of his cabinet to wear only made-in-Calabar clothes

Cross Rivers state governor, Ben Ayade, yesterday gave an order to members of his cabinet to wear only clothes made from the Calabar Garment Factory. The factory, which produces finished clothing items, is a brainchild of his administration. Ayade gave the order when he spoke to newsmen after visiting the factory. He disclosed that as from June 1st, he would also be wearing only clothing items made from the factory. "The garment factory today is a reality and it’s now producing in commercial quantities for export too. Henceforth, starting from today, all executive members, all appointees must be in clothes made from Calabar Garment Factory and this is official. By the close of next month, anything I put on my body will be made from Cross River Garment Factory. That is my sincere commitment to the state and for the 3,000 young people working in the factory”he sai
