Entertainment: Women in Power! Three Ghanaian Ministers & A Chief of Staff Cover Glitz Magazine’s 17th Issue



Ghana celebrated its 60 years of independence recently and thus, the seventeenth issue of Glitz Magazine has a special feature on trailblazers in the Ghanaian history as well as a ‘then and now’ look at their fashion scene.
The cover ladies extraordinaire are Frema Osei-Opare, the first female Chief of Staff in Ghana, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, the Minister of Foreign Affairs,Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the Minister of Communications, and Hon. Catherine Afeku, the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

Hollywood actor, Michael Mantenuto died on Monday, April 24, 2017 at the age of 35. Announcing his death,  U.S. Army Col. Guillaume Beaurpere wrote in a Facebook post  on Wednesday  that Mantenuto sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  "Those of you that knew Mike will remember him for his passionate love for his family and his commitment to the health of the force," he wrote. Mantenuto was a former college hockey player who served in Beaurpere's unit when he enlisted in the Army after his acting career.  He is survived by his wife, Kati Vienneau, and two children, Ava and Leo.
