God Please Don't Abandon America-Tai Emeka Obasi

 

Today Americans decide. Today the people of 'God's Own Country' make a historical choice between Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump. Today it's a choice between the beauty and the beast. A choice between decency and arrogant impudence.

Surprisingly most Nigerians support Trump. They claim he's the one person who has stood up against a corrupt and power-drunk American system. The fearless outspoken 'saviour' of the modern word. They forget to add that the wild talker doesn't know just when to shut his trap.

The Republican candidate exposed his major opponent's chin for a solid punch but lacked the finesse to deliver a game-over sucker punch. Rather he twiddled around, threw all rule books to the wind to make a laughing stock of hitherto modest American in electoral matters. He dragged the Presidential Campaign to irredeemable lows as the worst ever in history.

It's like a movie crafted in the garbs of executive comedy and utter mischief. But I expect the writer to end it on a happy note

God is the ultimate scriptwriter and I'm convinced He will end this marathon epistle on the right side of posterity. The Creator will certainly save His world by giving America her first female president.
