Loan highlights

In League One, Charlie Colkett started for Bristol Rovers in a 4-0 defeat at Millwall on Saturday. An early dismissal for defender Daniel Leadbitter meant somebody further forward would have to be sacrificed and it was Colkett who was withdrawn after just 21 minutes on a disappointing afternoon for Rovers.
In League Two, Jamal Blackman kept a clean sheet for Wycombe Wanderers in a 2-0 win over Morecambe, while Jordan Houghton anchored the midfield in Doncaster’s 3-1 win at Exeter. Doncaster are third in the table, just a point behind second-placed Carlisle.
Alex Kiwomya was on the scoresheet for Crewe (pictured above) but they were beaten 2-1 by Plymouth Argyle, while Alex Davey featured for Crawley Town in their 3-1 defeat to Cambridge United.
Elsewhere, in the National League, Dion Conroy was involved in a thriller as Aldershot drew 3-3 with Lincoln.

 

The week ahead

The climax of international football means a return to domestic matters, and Antonio Conte’ side will be hoping to continue where they left off when they travel to Middlesbrough for a 4pm kick-off on Sunday.
Conte will speak to the media ahead of that game on Friday.
Our Under-18s are also in action this weekend, they take on Southampton at Cobham on Saturday, kick-off 11.05am, a game which can be watched live on Chelsea TV.
